Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About this role
We have a secondment or fixed-term opportunity, running through to 11th December 2026, for an experienced Data and Reporting Analyst to sit within the System Transformation Office – PMO. This role enables high-quality, timely insights for governance and delivery—turning RM3's people, finance, risk, issue, and decision data into transparent, actionable reporting for Senior Leadership, the Programme Board, and Oversight forums.
You'll set the programme-wide definitions and cadence for reporting, lift data literacy across pillars, and provide sharp, succinct analysis that helps leaders make better, faster decisions.
Ngā kawenga matua - Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end RM3 reporting cycle: curate consistent datasets and narratives for PSRs, Oversight and Programme Board packs; ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
- People & finance clarity: reconcile and maintain a reliable view of FTE, vacancies and spend; highlight trends, pressure points and options.
- Decision support: produce concise insights on delivery risks, dependencies and benefits for governance papers and discussions.
- Data quality & standards: define common metrics and controls; reduce duplication and rework across pillars.
- Data literacy uplift: coach coordinators and managers in preparing quality inputs and using dashboards effectively.
- Collaboration: work closely with PMO, Finance, People & Capability and pillar teams to sustain a single source of truth.

- Proven experience in programme/portfolio reporting and analysis in a complex environment.
- Strength in turning data into insights for senior decision‑makers; excellent written and visual communication.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management and the ability to coach others.
- High attention to detail; disciplined approach to definitions, controls and auditability.
- Understanding of public sector governance and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori.
- Experience working on large reform or system change programmes is an advantage.

- Power BI for dashboards and visual reporting
- Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation
- Snowflake (or similar cloud data platforms) for data management and integration
- Familiarity with other reporting and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive) is beneficial
Whānuitanga Utu ā‑Tau - Salary range
The indicative salary range for this role is $91,422–$110,808 per annum. An appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
