Job Description
This role is a fixed term position in response to increased demand within our high priority work programmes. We are surging in people and resources in response to these priorities.
Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
This team provides central support to strengthen the Ministry's strategic relationships and engagement with partners, stakeholders and key influencers, enabling it to be an effective steward of the environmental management system.
It provides coordination, oversight, and advice for planning and delivering external engagement, as well as support for relationships of strategic importance to the Ministry.
The team is responsible for ensuring the Ministry's engagement activity is integrated, enabled by enduring relationships and well informed, by working across all business groups to manage this effectively.
The Engagement Advisor role supports the Ministry's centralised relationships and engagement function, with a core focus on ensuring our tools, processes and systems are running smoothly to enable co-ordination of activity across the organisation.
They may be required to provide tactical support for engagements to ensure these are delivered to a high standard that upholds our reputation with partners and stakeholders.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Experience planning and delivering successful partner or stakeholder engagement activities to support project or programme outcomes
- Interest in and understanding of stakeholder analysis and how to develop a partner or stakeholder engagement plan
- Understanding and use of the CRM is highly desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organised, effective at time management and prioritisation under tight and sometimes moving timeframes
- Commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in the principles of Te Tiriti and Te Ao Māori
- Understanding of the principles of the Plain Language Act 2022
- Understanding and experience with machinery of government processes, systems and tools.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $80,712 to $97,721pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
