- Fixed Term / Secondment until June 2026
This role is a fixed term position in response to increased demand within our high priority work programmes. We are surging in people and resources in response to these priorities.
Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
This role supports the Fast-track Approvals Delivery team by coordinating applications and supporting the team with key deadlines and deliverables, from the time of receipt of an application right through to publication of the application related material. This includes managing team email inboxes and the Fast-track Approvals Application Management System to ensure essential information and communications are triaged, managed and shared, enabling the team to comply with statutory obligations. Other duties include liaising with the EPA Fast-track teams for finance and reporting requirements; preparing reporting and taking minutes for various inter-agency meetings; and receipt and logging of official information requests, written parliamentary questions and ministerial correspondence for the team.

- A proactive and positive approach.
- Ability to cope with pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong communicating and influencing skills.
- Coordination experience in a busy and complex work environment which demonstrates the ability to manage multiple functions/tasks to deadlines.
- Knowledge of or the ability to develop a thorough understanding of Ministry systems, processes and programmes.
- Good written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- The ability to deliver, make things happen, and meet deadlines, often under pressure from short timelines.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues in the wider Fast-track team.
- Understanding of the Official Information Act.
- Understanding of government processes and procedures would be an advantage.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $70,217 to $84,892 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
