Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
We are looking for an experienced L&D Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term basis. This is a great opportunity to work across the whole spectrum of L&D, including coordinating, designing and delivering engaging learning experiences and contributing to initiatives and projects that uplift our capability and maturity as a function. The role it's within our Culture & Capability team, which delivers performance frameworks, capability and organisational development projects, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Culture and Belonging strategies and initiatives. We are a passionate and committed team, who enjoy collaborating to create great experiences for our people.
Working closely with the Culture & capability and People Services (Advisory) team, you will manage delivery of our L&D programme of work. This includes working with the business to conduct needs analyses, scoping out learning and development opportunities across MfE, managing programme delivery, creating content across multiple mediums, and facilitating workshops for staff at all levels.
You will also have an opportunity to enhance the implementation of our LMS system and work on some exciting Organisational Development projects.

- Proven experience in an L&D/OD role
- Proven learning and development subject matter expertise, with a track record of delivering solutions that build capability
- Experience designing learning experiences and products and supporting end users with application
- Experience working with learning tools, including Learning Management Systems, Articulate 360, Storyline, etc
- A track record in managing learning or similar programmes, maintaining a repeatable cycle of delivery and review
- An understanding of incorporating te ao Māori into learning initiatives
- Effective facilitation skills
- Excellent organisation, planning and project management skills
- A track record in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships at all levels, influencing through sound advice and trust building through reliability
- Confidence and initiative to work independently
- Agile thinking with a desire to achieve results
- Commitment to developing your cultural capability and capacity in te ao Māori
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $90,160 to $109,279 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
