Job Description
Join the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) Board - Help protect New Zealand's way of life
The Minister for the Environment is seeking applications for a member on the Environmental Protection Authority Board. This position will be filled for up to three-years commencing around the start of November.
About the EPA
The EPA was established in 2011 to be the single national-level environmental regulator. It is a stand-alone Crown agent responsible for national-level consenting and regulatory functions under a number of statutes. The EPA Board is the governing body of the EPA, being directly accountable to the Minister for the Environment as well as to Parliament for the performance of the EPA. The Board members work collectively to oversee the activities of the executive leadership team and staff, who carry out the day-to-day operations. Board members may also participate in direct decision-making for environmental consents received by the EPA, as part of a committee made up of other experts.
