In this permanent role, you will support the development of robust policy analysis and advice across a diverse range of issues related to hazardous substances, new organisms, and contaminated land. You'll apply your core policy skills to complex and evolving challenges, contributing to work that has both national and international significance.
A key part of your responsibilities will be ensuring the quality and clarity of policy documents, including Ministerial briefings and responses to Official Information Act requests. This is a great opportunity to deepen your policy expertise while making a meaningful impact on environmental and public health outcomes in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience managing the implementation of complex policy projects and programmes, managing risks and business analysis.
- Ability to use a range of qualitative and quantitative analytical frameworks to develop policy advice
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in, and ideally leading, project teams working on complex policy working across formal reporting lines
- Leading engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- An ability to set priorities and to achieve deadlines and project and programme outputs.
Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $79,598 to $96,372 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
